description of a bog plant is one whose roots grow in wet soil and has its foliage above the water or floats on the water surface. These plants are perfect if you have an area in your garden or on your property that is waterlogged. Bog plants can also be used around dams and ponds. If you have a low lying area of your garden you can build your own bog garden by digging out the area to about 60cm deep, lining it with plastic or rubber which is punctured to allow for slow drainage, refilling with the soil and planting. An amazing array of attractive plants can be grown in this type of environment. It is also a safe alternative to a pond if you have small children or animals that like water!
These plants are sold in 75mm pots with well grown roots ready to plant directly in your water garden or to repot into a larger container to put in your pond. All plants come with planting instructions.
