his group of plants are very useful as ground covers and fillers amongst other waterplants.
You will find a number of these plants also listed under Marginal plants. Most of them have numerous small attractive flowers in spring and summer. A number of them are grass type spreading plants such as the native water grass which stays bright green all year long in temperate climates and is not affected by frost. These plants would be worthwhile trying as ground covers around swimming pools.
Some plants in this group, such as the Myriophyllums and Ludwigias will also grow fully submerged and the foliage will reach and spread over the surface of the water. This group of plants are also suitable for growing in aquariums.
These plants are sold in 75mm pots with well grown roots ready to plant directly in your water garden or to repot into a larger container to put in your pond. All plants come with planting instructions.
